Let’s take a look at the benefits of Priority Passes, including some that are rarely mentioned.

8 Benefits of Using Priority Pass Lounges | A Million Mile Secret (1)

Access over 90 salons at home

they currently exist41 U.S. airports offering Priority Pass lounges. Frankly, this number is quite limited compared to the number of domestic airports. Many airports have two or three Priority Pass lounges to choose from.

If you go through a larger airport, you'll most likely be able to take advantage of a Priority Pass membership. However, many airports only have participating lounges within their international terminals, which means reaching these lounges can be a bit difficult if you're traveling domestically. If your relationship was short-lived, you wouldn't even bother.

The number of U.S. stores is expected to continue growing. Priority Pass has been surprisingly aggressive in expanding its lounge network, adding more than 100 locations worldwide in the past few years.

Access to over 1200 international salons

it's over1,200 international priority access beds– This means that the people who are really willing to pay for this membership are international travelers.

The salons you can use abroad are almost always better than those at home, especially in countries like the UAE, Singapore, France, etc.

Access to over 50 restaurants

One of my favorite parts of Priority Pass is the ability to show your card at certain restaurants and get huge discounts.

There are not many places where you can use this advantage. There are currently 29 restaurants, bars, or eateries of some kind in U.S. airports where you can eat for free with your Priority Pass membership — usually up to $28 per person. But if your membership includes guest privileges, you’ll also receive a $28 discount on food for each guest you bring. In other words, if you and your partner go to a restaurant, you can easily save a total of $56.

Here's the latest list of U.S. locations where you can get discounts on dining with Priority Pass:

Boston (BOS)

  • Jerry Remy's Sports Bar and Grill
  • Stephanies

Cleveland (CLE)

  • Simon's Bar at Cleveland Airport

Fort Lauderdale (FLL)

  • Carrick Cafe

tampa

  • Kavana settings

Washington, DC (DCA)

  • American bar room
  • dough

Washington, D.C. (Dulles)

  • At Chef Jeff's Restaurant

There are other locations that have not been added yet as they appear to be temporarily unavailable on the Priority Pass website. I don't know if this is a coronavirus related issue or if they are gone for good.

There are also over 20 international restaurants where you used to get deep discounts with Priority Pass. However, with the exception of two locations in Lima, Peru (mandatory 14-day quarantine) and two locations in Sao Paulo, Brazil (negative PCR test requirement), none of these countries are currently accepting travelers from the United States.

Big exception warning:Restaurant discounts are not available with Priority Pass memberships linked to American Express cards. Your membership must be from the following cards:

  • Chase Sapphire Reserve®
  • us. Bank Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite® Card (four free entries per year for you and one guest)
  • Citi Prestige® Card

Information about the Citi Prestige and the U.S. Bank Elevation Reserve was collected independently of Million Mile Secrets. The card information on this page has not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

Minute suite access

Minute Suites is just one lounge brand of Priority Pass partners. However, they are noteworthy because they offer complete privacy. The apartment is about 8×8 with a small table and a comfortable couch that’s big enough to double as a bed if you need to sleep.

With a priority pass, you can stay for free for one hour. If you stay longer, you'll pay a flat rate (currently $28 per hour), billed in 15-minute increments. You can usually get a discount if you stay overnight (eight hours or more).

There are also showers in the salon, but you have to pay to use them.

Use sleep capsules during international flights

It's quite niche, but great if you're at Dubai Airport.

There's something called a "Sleep 'n Fly pod" in Dubai. Three locations have an abundance of hard products. One location offers a small room with a bed, another looks like a lie-flat seat from Emirates Business Class, and a third looks like some kind of sci-fi capsule, reminiscent of a personal cryogenic chamber.

You can spend up to two hours in the sleeping pod, depending on the location you visit. You can even use the showers for free.

Spa access during flights via London (Club Aspire lounge access)

Exclusive to London Heathrow Airport are a pairDesire Club Lounge. These are important because they give you free access to the Bliss Spa. Yes, you have to pay for a massage or various other treatments, but unless you pay $50+ to get into the Club Aspire Lounge, you can't use the spa at all.

If you're not interested in a spa, sleeping mats are available in the lounge, which are free for Priority Pass members. Please remember that you must make a reservation upon arrival.

Hotel and car rental status and discounts

In some sort of left-field move,Priority Pass partners with AvisGiving excavationAvis Preferred Plus Membership, which has the following benefits:

  • Free upgrades when available
  • Earn up to 50% more Avis Points for every qualifying $1 spent
  • Avis Preferred Plus number for reservations and customer service

Furthermore, when youUse this page to make a reservation, you can enjoy up to 20% off international standard prices.

What I want to point out isIs it possibleThese discounts only apply if you actually paid for your Priority Pass membership instead of charging it to your card - even if it hasn't been confirmed yet. Regardless, these Avis perks are nowhere near worth purchasing a Priority Pass membership. It's best to get membership via credit card.

Digital membership card

Priority Pass membership means you get a digital card that appears in the Priority Pass app. It will have your name, membership number, and even a QR code that you just scan when you check in so you don't have to carry the actual physical card they mail you.

8 Benefits of Using Priority Pass Lounges | A Million Mile Secret (3)

While this is a nice convenience, not all salons will accept this digital card for one reason or another. You may find that you need a real card to gain access to the lounge. Fortunately, it's easy to know if any salon accepts digital cards.

Just check the "Convenience" area at the bottom of each lounge page on the Priority Pass website and it will tell you whether digital cards are accepted.

focus

Yes, the Priority Pass lounge perks are great, including free booze, free food, peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of airport terminals, free Wi-Fi and tons of shops. But it’s good for other things too, like elite status on car rentals, access to spas, deep discounts on airport restaurants, and more.
