Hilton no longer publishes award forms for redeeming points for hotel nights—now the price you see on any given day is the price you pay, just as if you booked with cash. Some of Hilton's best awards used to be Category 1 hotels, which could be booked for as little as 5,000 points per stay. night. Now rooms with less than 20,000 points are rare. But if you're willing to shop around and avoid more expensive destinations, there are still plenty of hotels that are good value.
Today, we're going to take a look at some examples of the cheapest rates you can book using Hilton Honors Points.
How do we choose these attributes
In compiling this list, I considered a number of factors to determine which lower-tier Hilton properties offer the "best" value:
- Average price with points
- typical rate of return
- Uniqueness (object, location, etc.)
Before we jump into the list, remember that if you have a co-branded credit card, you can enjoy perks (premium or low) during your Hilton stay. Free use of the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Cardgold status, which gives you a 25% bonus, free breakfast and more. Plus, earn an additional 50,000 Hilton Honors Bonus Points after spending a total of $10,000 on the card in the first 6 months.
If you're looking for top Diamond status, consider adding the Hilton Honors Aspire Card from American Express to your wallet to unlock perks like 50% bonus points, access to the Executive Lounge and more. Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi
Vietnam is known for its affordable and friendly hostels, but whether you're traveling for business, visiting with family, or just want to enjoy the benefits of Hilton Elite status, Hilton Garden Inn Hanoi is a great choice. This is one of Hilton's cheapest hotels - with both points and cash. The hotel is ideally located in Hanoi's central business district, with easy access to tourist attractions such as Hanoi Opera House and the Old Quarter.

Hilton Garden Inn Shanghai Hongqiao
Shanghai is a huge city, one of the few metropolises in the world that requires two separate airports to function. For many Western tourists, Shanghai is also the perfect starting point for exploring remote parts of China or other less accessible cities in Asia. While flights from the US to China are usually ridiculously cheap, I found Shanghai Pudong (PVG) to be one of the worst airports I've ever been to, compared to O'Hare and JFK like palaces Same. Whenever possible, I fly in and out of Shanghai's smaller Hongqiao Airport (SHA), and often take the train from Hongqiao Railway Station. Walk into a Hilton Garden Inn and it's great value whether you choose to pay 12,000 points a night or about $60 in cash. The Hongqiao area is well connected to the rest of the city via two subway lines, making it easy to explore Shanghai before heading on to your next destination.

DoubleTree Hotel Kuala Lumpur
The DoubleTree Hotel Kuala Lumpur is centrally located and offers great value. Just five minutes to the nearest LRT MRT station (under the covered walkway) and 10 minutes to the Petronas Twin Towers. Probably the best part of staying here is for those with Gold or Diamond Elite status, as the breakfast is "one of the best in the Hilton portfolio" and the lounge is "awesome," it saysTPGeditNick Evan, visited the hotel in 2014. While it's not the 10,000 point theft of yesteryear, it's still a great deal when you redeem your Hilton Honors points here.

Hilton Houston Plaza District
The sudden depreciation of Hilton usually hits the big cities hardest, especially in the United States. Fortunately, the Hilton Houston Galleria Area still offers solid redemption value at only 25,000 points per stay. night. This hotel is conveniently located near some of Houston's best shopping, dining and sports attractions, including the expansive Galleria Mall and NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans. Guest rooms are also on the larger side, measuring 364 square feet.

Hilton Hotels in Ocala, FL
Florida may be known for its beaches, but you don't have to pay for the high-end resorts of Miami or Clearwater to enjoy all that the Sunshine State has to offer. In fact, those willing to venture north to the Hilton Ocala hotel off Interstate 75 will find a sun deck with swimming pool and a surprising amount of outdoor activities and wildlife. The Hilton Ocala has its own resident Clydesdale called "Buddy," but if you visit at the right time of year, you might even get a chance to meet manatees Swim and snorkel together. These docile creatures are like giant manatees, and although they are endangered, I have found them to be very friendly and open to human contact. Most of them just roll over and wait for you to rub their bellies like a dog.
Note the prices hereHighVariable, prices go as low as $100 in summer but rise to nearly $200 in winter and spring.

Typical premium rates:$200 (0.5 cents per point)
Grand Hotel des Sablettes Plage, zbirka Curio, Francuska
Hilton's boutique Curio Collection isn't the first place you think of when you think of low-end redemptions, and the Grand Hotel des Sablettes Plage isn't cheap at around 35,000 points per night. Still, this waterfront hotel on the picturesque French Riviera offers great value for money at redemption. Whether you prefer to enjoy French cuisine with a Mediterranean twist or laze on the private beach at Les Sablettes, this hotel offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Typical premium rates:35,000 (seasonal variation)
